📖 How to install

From download to combat-ready.

Step 1 — Point this site at your Classic folder (one time)

Click Locate in the bar at the bottom and pick your Rotations\Classic folder — the Rotations folder sits next to InfernoWow.exe. You only do this once; the site remembers it. (Chrome and Edge — other browsers skip this step.)

Step 2 — Install your rotation

Pick your class, find your spec, and hit Install on the rotation card. The site downloads the rotation, verifies it, and writes it straight into your Classic folder — no ZIPs, no extracting, no moving files. Updates work the same way: when a card says NEW UPDATE, one click installs it. (On Firefox/Safari the rotation downloads as a ZIP instead — extract it into Rotations\Classic yourself.)

Step 3 — Required add-ons

Click the 🧩 Required add-ons button at the top of this site. In the pop-up, click Locate and pick your WoW Interface\AddOns folder, then hit Install all — Togglz, RangeCheck, and LibClassicSwingTimerAPI install straight into it, verified and ready. When one of them gets an update, the same button shows a NEW UPDATE bubble — one click updates it. (On Firefox/Safari the add-ons download as ZIPs instead — extract them into Interface\AddOns yourself.)

Step 4 — Load the rotation in Inferno

Make sure WoW and Battle.net are completely closed before launching the Inferno loader.

Select your rotation from the list.
Click Load.
Click Configure for optional adjustments.
Click Start Rotation.

Step 5 — In-game toggles

No macro needed — toggles are handled by the Togglz add-on. Just type /tg in-game for its commands.

Before you fight — required settings

In the Inferno GUI, open Advanced Settings.
Set the WoW build drop-down to anniversary.
Click Save, then select your rotation.
In WoW's AddOn list, tick Load out of date AddOns.
Graphics: just make sure WoW runs full screen and UI Scale is between 0.65 and 1.

Troubleshooting — "Error accessing AddOns directory"

Click the addon name field in the Inferno loader.
Press Ctrl + A, then Delete.
Retype your addon name.
Load and start the rotation.
Still stuck? Delete the Inferno addon folder from Interface\AddOns in your WoW directory and retry.

🔔 Never miss an update

The free Chrome extension watches the update feed for you and pops a Windows notification the moment a rotation gets a new version — even when this site isn't open. Clicking the notification brings you straight back here.

Unzip the download — you'll get a folder called Project WOTLK Update Alerts.
In Chrome, open chrome://extensions (paste it into the address bar).
Turn on Developer mode — the toggle in the top-right corner.
Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder. The blue Z appears next to the address bar — done.

Chrome only allows one-click installs from its Web Store, so for now this is the manual route. Works in Edge too (edge://extensions). Alerts arrive while Chrome is running.

AddOns folder: not set

Can’t auto-install? If your World of Warcraft is in the Windows Program Files folder, browsers block installing add-ons straight into it — there’s no way around that. Use each add-on’s Download button and extract the zip into Interface\AddOns yourself, or move WoW out of Program Files (e.g. C:\Games\World of Warcraft) for one-click installs.

These live in Interface\AddOns inside your World of Warcraft folder — a different folder from the Rotations\Classic one rotations install into.
